The Pinnacle & Spire Schools Job Posting Administrative & Events CoordinatorThe Pinnacle School, a private, special education day school for students in grades 2 through 12, and The Spire School, a private therapeutic day school for college-bound students in grades 8 through 12, seek an Administrative & Events Coordinator for a full-time, school-based position (12 months).The Pinnacle School enables students with complex learning profiles and secondary co-occurring needs to thrive through small class sizes, differentiated instruction, active problem-solving and relationship building. The school is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and is a Connecticut state-approved special education school. Our students are both privately and district placed and come from Connecticut and New York.The Spire School integrates a robust education for college-bound students with a health and wellness curriculum to help students realize their academic potential and support their skill development to overcome social and emotional challenges. We hire accomplished, inspiring people with a combination of teaching experience, advanced degrees, contagious enthusiasm, and engaging communication skills.The Administrative & Events Coordinator will perform duties with a high degree of independence, sound judgment, focused initiative and aligned with the mission and values of The Pinnacle School and The Spire School. Successful candidates will cultivate positive communication with colleagues, visitors, students, parents and vendors.The Administrative & Events Coordinator will serve as the main lobby receptionist for The Pinnacle School, back-up for The Spire School and support for Links Academy and our parent organization, Greenwich Education Group. The Administrative & Events Coordinator will provide administrative support and coordination for the schools’ events, the Parent Associations, school activities and daily operations as directed by the Leadership Teams. Examples include attendance, arrival, dismissal, in-school events, professional development days, field trips, and other social events. The Administrative & Events Coordinator will work closely with the Leadership Teams to produce in-school communications such as the parent and staff newsletter, and other internal communications as needed, such as attend meetings, record minutes for both Advisory Boards, and coordinate meeting-related materials or tasks.The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:• Experience providing administrative support and/or reception duties at a busy office or similar work environment.• Communicate a pleasant, professional, and welcoming demeanor at the front desk• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Google Suite, the Wix website platform, and the Alma SIS (student information system).• Some familiarity with Mailchimp, Constant Contact or similar communication platform• Ability to work independently and be resourceful in identifying necessary information to complete tasks and responsibilities.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• A collaborative, enthusiastic style to fit with our team environment.• Eager to learn and work in a fast-paced environmentQualities of a Successful Candidate:• Flexible and Patient - is able to react quickly and seamlessly to changes, is able to alter plans both instructionally and clinically based on observations and data.• Creative - is creative when planning engaging lessons and thinking outside the box to create the best individualized intervention for a student.• Quick Thinking - is able to remain calm, evaluate and make sound decisions in high pressure situations• Collaborative - is able to collaborate with team members across a variety of disciplines.• Reflective - is able to reflect on instruction, student progress, interactions, and implementation of plans, and seek/use resources to improve.• Growth Mindset - is curious and motivated to learn, find a deeper understanding and overcome challenges.• Seeks help, guidance and support - is able to recognize when collaboration or support is needed and is motivated to improve• Able to build and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents and districts• Honest - is able to report on student progress in an honest and professional manner, and is able to provide feedback to leadership and team members respectfully and honestly.• Solid organizational skills - is able to succeed in a fast-paced environment while consistently meeting deadlines• Commitment to helping students of all abilities reach their full potential and an enthusiastic style to fit with our small-team environmentFor more information about our schools, please visit the Pinnacle School website and The Spire School website.Salary and benefits are competitive and consistent with other independent schools in the Fairfield/Westchester area.
