Spire School located in Stamford CT is actively recruiting for a Science Teacher for our Summer School Program which runs from July 5 to July 28, 2022. This program is only 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday. Applicants should have experience teaching Chemistry, Physics, or Biology to High School and Middle School students. One to three years of teaching experience with Middle and High School or experience teaching in a special education classroom is a significant plus. Spire is a State- Approved Special Education school, grades 6-12, for students with social and/or emotional challenges that impact the student's ability to thrive in a typical academic setting. Our model of individualized social-emotional wellness plans and our small group academic setting ( classes are no more than 6:1, some are smaller) makes us unique, and 80% of our students are district placed.Qualifications1-3 years of teaching experience to Middle and High School age studentsExperience educating students who may require differentiated instruction and may have social and/or learning challengesMust hold/be eligible for a State of Connecticut Certification Pay is competitive and consistent with other independent schools in Fairfield and Westchester CountiesIn addition to applying to OLAS please also email your resume, cover note and two references to hong@greenwichedgroup.com
