This is a 10-month, probationary position with a start date of 9/5. Required Qualifications: Candidate must possess a valid NYS teaching certification in the content area.Salary: Per current FPTA contract; level of education and experience will be considered.This position reports to the Building Principal. The Spanish Teacher will be responsible for providing Spanish Language instruction.The ideal candidate will:Possess strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all stakeholders;Collaborate with colleagues on pedagogical approaches, curricular alignment and the use of instructional strategies;Encourage teamwork in the classroom setting by teaching students to communicate effectively and thoughtfully, justify their reasoning and to consider multiple perspectives when solving problems;Invest in the school community by actively participating in department meetings and serving on multidisciplinary teams, engaging with professional development opportunities and by strategically fostering a positive student experience in the classroom setting;Demonstrate professional behavior.
