East Ramapo Central School District is seeking elementary special education teacher assistants to join our dedicated group of educators supporting our diverse learners.Teaching Assistant work within the school setting to support specialized instructions in a manner that fosters teamwork and student independence. Requirements include, but are not limited to:1.Participate in staff development, workshops, and meetings2. Collaborate with team of teachers to execute daily plans3.Support IEP goals set forth based on student needs4.Plan with and assist teacher in preparing materials and supplies in advance5. Set up and maintain a safe, healthy, and engaging learning environment6. Supervise children7. Teach a small group (e.g. handwriting, math, & literacy and daily living acquisition5. Abide by all school policies and proceduresNYS Certification required.Bilingual candidate encouraged to apply.
