We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented District Data Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the Management Information Systems & Technology department. As the District Data Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient data collection, analysis, and reporting for our district. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including administrators, teachers, and staff, to support data-driven decision-making and improve educational outcomes. As the District Data Coordinator, You will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the district's data management, analysis, and digital software integration, as well as collaborate with the Data privacy officer to continue data privacy compliance efforts. Responsibilities: Serve as the District's Chief Information Officer (CIO), implementation of technology initiatives that support data management and analysis. · Oversee the collection, organization, and maintenance of all district-level data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and security. Collaborate with school administrators and staff to develop data collection protocols and standards, ensuring consistency and compliance. · Train and support school personnel in using data management systems, tools, and applications. · Analyze data trends and patterns to identify areas for improvement and provide actionable recommendations to district leadership. · Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to effectively communicate data findings to stakeholders. Support the implementation and monitoring of district-wide initiatives, such as student assessments and program evaluations. · Conduct data audits and quality assurance checks to identify and resolve data discrepancies or errors. · Stay updated on state and federal data reporting requirements and ensure timely submission of mandated reports. Assist in the development and implementation of data-related policies, procedures, and best practices. · Collaborate with external partners, such as educational research organizations or data consortia, to leverage additional data resources and insights. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., data management, management information systems, education) is required; a master's degree is preferred. School District Leader certification is preferred, not required Proven experience in data management, analysis, and reporting in an educational setting. Strong proficiency in data management systems and tools, such as student information systems (SIS), learning management systems (LMS), and data visualization software. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, or similar platforms. Familiarity with educational data standards, such as state-specific standards. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret and communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain data accuracy and integrity. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations, such as the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and NYS Ed Law 2d. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
