The Elmsford Union Free School District is seeking a dedicated, highly motivated, and knowledgeable Math Teacher to join the faculty at Alexander Hamilton Junior/Senior High School. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about mathematics and committed to fostering academic excellence and rigorous standards for all students in grades 7–12. Key Responsibilities Instructional Excellence: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, curriculum-aligned math lessons (ranging from Pre-Algebra through Calculus/Advanced Math). Assessment & Data: Utilize regular formative and summative assessments to measure student progress and adjust instructional strategies to ensure mastery of New York State Learning Standards. Classroom Management: Maintain a structured, disciplined, and productive learning environment that encourages student focus and achievement. Collaboration: Work closely with the Mathematics Department, guidance counselors, and administration to support student success and school-wide academic goals. Communication: Maintain professional and consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding student performance and behavioral expectations. Qualifications Certification: Valid New York State Certification in Mathematics (7–12). Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Content Mastery: Strong command of secondary mathematical concepts, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus. Professionalism: A track record of punctuality, reliability, and adherence to school policies and professional ethics.
