The Position: The Elmsford Union Free School District seeks a seasoned administrator with an unwavering focus on student success and on fostering a caring learning environment in which every decision reflects what best supports student growth and development. The successful candidate understands how to lead experienced faculty through collaborative decision-making, reflective conversations focused on instructional improvement and student outcomes, with deep knowledge of effective teaching practices. The successful candidate also strengthens partnerships with families and the community that support the home-to-school connection. Requirements: Master’s degree in Educational Administration or a related field. Valid New York State School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS), School Building Leader (SBL), or School District Leader (SDL), or Administrator certification. Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience and building-level administrative experience. Key Qualifications: Demonstrated record of improving student achievement through data-informed instructional leadership. Deep understanding of literacy and numeracy development, backed by a proven record of improving curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Experience implementing Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and social-emotional learning frameworks, with a comprehensive understanding of the needs of special education and multilingual learners. Successful history of leading, inspiring, and collaborating with veteran staff in a high-relationship school environment. Proven ability to coach and provide instructional feedback, build leadership capacity, and foster professional development. Evidence of cultivating a positive, caring school culture grounded in high expectations and collaborative relationships with students, staff, families, and the broader community.
