Alexander Hamilton High School is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging art curricula for high school students, fostering a creative and supportive learning environment, and promoting artistic expression across a variety of mediums.Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive art curricula aligned with state and district standards.Instruct students in a variety of art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, digital art, and other relevant media.Foster a classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and artistic exploration.Assess student progress through projects, portfolios, and other evaluative methods.Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to enhance their artistic skills.Organize and manage art exhibitions and student showcases.Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects.Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.Manage art supplies and equipment, ensuring a safe and organized classroom environment.Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in art education.Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.Supervise students during art activities and field trips.Potentially sponsor an art club or other extracurricular art related activity.
