Our Elmsford UFSD seeks innovative candidates to fill the position of Director of Technology/Personnel. Replacing a veteran, recently retired administrator, the position includes supervision of the District’s: Instructional Technology, Infrastructure needs, serve as Chief Information Officer, serve as Data Privacy Officer and supervise certificated personnel. This full-time, 12 month position requires School District Leader (SDL) certification. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Advise and seek the approval of the Superintendent in all germane matters;Create and maintain an academically rich, intellectually stimulating and emotionally & physically safe environment for students and staff;Conduct open and on-going needs assessment for all school related functions and appropriate funding requests to meet those needs;Establish systems and structures to support the management of school resources including Chromebooks, Textbooks, Software licenses, Supplies, etc.Observe teachers and evaluate their performance based on the district’s APPR plan:Provide on-going, consistent feedback to teachers based on formal announced and unannounced observations;Ensure the information captured from observations informs the overall PD plan;Manage a technology and personnel budget and work with the office of Finance & Operations and others to ensure fiscal integrity, provide resources and supplies to staff;Ensure compliance with all district, state or other reports and/or mandates;Participate in the development and implementation of district-wide policies and procedures; Hire, train and retain all certificated and support staff as needed; Create and supervise data-driven, technology action plans across content areas;Ensure compliance with all state and federal hiring, certification and retention requirements; Oversight of Personnel processes including strategy, posting, recruiting, vetting, negotiating, hiring, onboarding, off boarding, probation management, all related timelines and recommendations to the Superintendent of Schools;Represent the district in all labor negotiations with certificated units;Serve as one (1) of two (2) District harassment officers;Oversee timelines and deadlines related to contractual obligations with each bargaining unit;Manage MyLearningPlan for graduate credit and teacher movement along the salary schedule;Participate, and/or represent the Superintendents, as necessary, in formal personnel meetings with staff district-wide;Manage District’s APPR recording and reporting process;Serve as an influential leadership voice and set example of integrity for the Superintendent’s Leadership Cabinet; Prepare written and/or oral presentations and responses as necessary for all school matters;Manage-up any matters that require support or special attention from the Superintendent of Schools;Perform such other tasks and duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent of SchoolsREPORTS TO: Superintendent of SchoolsCOMPENSATION: Salary Range of: $145,000 - $160,000, plus stipend for work as Director of Personnel in the range of $10,000 - $20,000 - commensurate with experience.
