MUST: NYS certification in Elementary grades 1-6 PREFERRED: NYS certification in TESOL(1-6)/ENL certification grades 1-6 is a plus *Certification in elementary N-2 is a plus. Bi-lingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply and *SWD certification is a plus. Performance Responsibilities: It is expected that the candidate have experience in teaching in an elementary school. The candidate is expected to provide differentiated instruction through lectures, discussions, visual aids, and other effective teaching methods for student comprehension. Prepare lessons and outlines to use in class that effectively cover the material. Administers various types of assessments to monitor students’ performance. It is expected that the preferred candidate will have knowledge of the NYS Learning Standards, Knowledge of e-School Student Management, technology knowledge (i.e., Chromebook, IEP Direct, webpage, Google). Additional experience in DRA, i-Ready, Fundations is preferred.
