The Alexandria Central School District is accepting applications for a speech pathologist position. Schedule: 11 months per year JOB SUMMARYSpeech-Language Pathologists (SLP) have integral roles in education and are essential team members providing appropriate speech-language services to students exhibiting a full range of communication disorders including those involving language, articulation, fluency, voice/resonance, and swallowing difficulties. SLPs work in partnership with other educational staff to meet students needs. SLPs help students meet performance standards of IEPs/IFSPs. A tenure track appointment will be based on certification and education, NYS Education Laws and the ACFA contract. ACS is a rural school district located in the heart of the Thousands Islands region of the St. Lawrence River in Alexandria Bay, NY. The school district has a UPK-12 population of about 500 students housed in one building with a staff of 75 full-time personnel. Our school is the hub of the community where most civic, social, and cultural activities take place. The village is a major tourist attraction situated on the U.S. and Canadian border, just five miles north of the Thousand Islands International Bridge and Interstate 81.
