School Nurse LPN or RN – Full Time PositionACDS, Inc. is dedicated to providing lifetime resources and services of exceptional quality for children and adults with Down syndrome, Autism and other developmental disabilities.The ACDS Westchester branch, located in Scarsdale, currently provides preschool special education programs consisting of 8:1:2 and 12:1:2 classes.ACDS Westchester is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse LPN or Registered Nurse RN to work with our head nurse and provide center based services and care for our students.4410 preschool experience a major plus!Bilingual English/Spanish preferred!Responsibilities include but are not limited to:-Plan school health programs.-Maintain health care standards pertaining to Federal, State and County laws and regulations.-Establish policies and administer first aid to students and employees until medical help arrives.-Evaluate emergency situations and respond appropriately.-Screen all incoming student and staff medical forms.-Administer medication, when necessary, only with written doctor's orders, parents written request and only if medication is contained in its properly labeled original pharmacy bottle.-Contact parents and care for students who are absent, who become ill or injured during school hours.
