In addition to the preschool curriculum, children receive center-based physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. We also provide family training and counseling. We provide a nurturing and supportive environment and offer our families education and encouragement to help their children reach their goals.ACDS Westchester is looking for an Independent Contractor licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) specializing in pediatrics to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team! The OT is responsible for the remediation of children with a wide range of disabilities/delays.Key responsibilities of the Physical Therapist include:The OT will provide and direct occupational therapy services to students as per their IEP mandates.The OT will develop treatment plans to achieve identified goals.The OT will adhere to applicable principles and practices of occupational therapy, NBCOT policies/procedures, and state regulations.The OT will work collaboratively with SLPs, PT’s, school psychologists, behavioral team, and classroom staff as needed to provide positive treatment outcomes.The OT will work effectively with parents, teaching staff and other professionals directly involved in the care and treatment of the child to develop and monitor IEP servicesThe OT will complete all necessary paperwork accurately and timely (e.g., daily session notes, quarterly progress reports, annual reviews, etc.).The OT will participate in meetings and consultations with education staff and the multidisciplinary team concerning the needs of each child as related to his/her mandated services and progress updates Qualifications:Valid New York State Occupational Therapist licenseMaster’s Degree from an accredited programPediatric experience is desirableNew Graduates with pediatric experience considered
