The SLP is responsible for evaluating and treating children with a wide range of speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing delays. The SLP contributes goals to the Individualized Education Program (IEP) and works on these objectives throughout the school year. Services are provided in-person through our center-based program — no travel required.30 hours per week, full-time positionMonday, Tuesday, Thursday – 8:30am to 3:00pmWednesday – 8:30am to 3:30pmFriday – 8:30am to 2:30pmExcellent hours! Benefits include Health, Vision, Dental, Life and MORE!Become a part of an experienced school-based team and make a difference!Key responsibilities of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) include:Provide speech-language therapy services as mandated by students' IEPs, including both individual and group sessions.Evaluate students and develop comprehensive treatment plans to address speech, language, communication, and feeding goals.Maintain thorough and timely documentation, including daily session notes, progress reports, evaluations, and annual IEP updates.Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with other professionals to develop appropriate goals and ensure successful intervention.Work closely with teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, school psychologists, and families to support generalization of skills.Use evidence-based practices and therapy techniques appropriate for preschool-aged children with developmental disabilities.Provide support for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when applicable.Stay current with NYS regulations and ASHA standards for the provision of speech-language services.Qualifications:Valid New York State license in Speech-Language PathologyCertificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (or in Clinical Fellowship Year)Master’s Degree in Speech-Language PathologyExperience working with young children in a school or clinical settingStrong communication and collaboration skillsBilingual skills are a plus, but not requiredPreferred Experience:Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, or other developmental disabilitiesFamiliarity with AAC systems and feeding/swallowing therapyNew graduates with strong pediatric fieldwork experience will be consideredJob Type: Full-time Pay: From $72,000.00 per yearBenefits:Continuing education creditsDental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offReferral programRetirement planVision insuranceMedical Specialty: PediatricsSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayNo nightsNo weekendsExperience:Working with children with developmental disabilities: 2 years (Preferred)License/Certification:NYS Speech-Language Pathology License (Required)Ability to Commute:Pelham, NY 10803 (Required)Work Location: In person
