Number of Positions: 1Salary: $58,000 - $64,000 commensurate with experienceLocations: Varies- Ballard Road Conference Center, Wilton & Component DistrictsWork Hours: TBDThis is a supervisory position responsible for the collection of student related data and using standard programs, for the reproduction and processing of analysis and reports of the data. There is latitude for a range of independent judgement within established guidelines and procedures. In the collection of data, this position will have considerable contact with registration staff, administrators, and teaching staff. The work is performed under the direct supervision of the Lead Coordinator for School Improvement. The incumbent does related work as required. Performs timely data verification and consistency checks across multiple Student Data Management Systems;Manages the collection and verification of data for the Student Data Management System and the Special Education Student Management System;Develops and implements data tracking/reporting/analysis related to: (1) Individual student performance on state assessments and/or Regents by cohort and overall student performance. (2) Administrative data analysis reports to assist administrators with teacher evaluations. (3) Marking period course analysis reports for administrative review (4) Educational program effectiveness. (5) Summarizing data to assist with staff-reviews and state audits;Performs data verification for federal and state reporting ensuring the timely and accurate submission to NYSEDActs as the liaison between the district and the regional Information Center;Collects data from various school and community sources for district database;Provides status reports regarding the district’s compliance to the superintendent and responds to requests for data for analysis purposes;Backs up internal databases utilized in State Reporting i.e. Data Warehouse, etc.Facilitates implementation of data warehouse applications, works to increase knowledge of data warehouse, generates local and state reports; attends to technical and other responsibilities in support of quality service;Assists superintendent and principals with Violence and Disruptive Incidents Reports (VADI), Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC), Basis Education Data System (BEDS) and Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) reporting, etc.Identifies training needs for support staff relative to data warehousing and related activities;Leads district in aligning internal database systems and consolidating data; Performs special projects as requestedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Either :(a) Successful completion of sixty (60) credit hours of college-level coursework, including coursework in management information systems, business management , computer science, information technology, or closely related field and three (3) year of experience operating a personal computer and equipment involved in data processing and data analysis; OR(b) Five (5) years of full-time or its part-time equivalent professional work experience in programming, processing and analyzing data; OR(c) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (a) and (b).Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply.Note: Vacancies are filled by a certified list provided by Washington County Civil Service.
