Job Details We are seeking a compassionate and student-centered Registered Nurse for a 10-month school year who: Brings positive energy, compassion, and professionalism to each day Builds strong, trusting relationships with students, families, and staff Creates a welcoming and supportive health office environment Provides responsive, thoughtful care to students with a wide range of health needs Collaborates with teachers, administrators, families, physicians, and community providers to support the whole child Maintains accurate health records and ensures compliance with NYS requirements and district policies Develops and implements individualized health care plans and emergency care plans as needed Supports student wellness, health education, and prevention Responds confidently and calmly to illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies Communicates effectively with families and school personnel Is organized, flexible, and able to prioritize in a busy school environment Brings a growth mindset and a commitment to continuous learning Values student well-being, inclusion, and equitable access to health services Provides excellent benefits. Our school nurse plays an essential role in helping students feel safe, supported, healthy, and ready to learn. Required: Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and computer skills Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, staff, health care providers, and community agencies Knowledge of first aid, emergency care, student health needs, and applicable NYS school health requirements Commitment to student wellness, safety, equity, and growth Preferred: Experience working with children in a school, pediatric, community health, or similar setting CPR/AED certification Experience developing or managing individualized health care plans and emergency care plans Familiarity with NYS school health regulations and requirements If you are ready to bring your compassion, expertise, and heart to a school that values all three, we encourage you to apply!
