The Wheelerville Union Free School District and the Edinburg Common School District are seeking a dynamic, student-centered Music Teacher to instruct general music classes, as well as band and choir. This is a full-time, ten-month, tenure-track position that will be divided between the two districts.Candidates must possess New York State Teaching Certification in Music. The salary will be determined according to the contract and will include benefits.The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for music education and the ability to inspire young musicians. They will also commit to building a strong, inclusive band program that supports students of all experience levels. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:- Teaching elementary general music classes- Providing band instruction to beginning students- Delivering high-quality, standards-based lessons in instrumental music- Organizing and conducting band rehearsals, performances, and concerts throughout the school year- Collaborating with classroom teachers, music colleagues, and building administrators to support student learning and schedulingThe scheduling of this role will be flexible to accommodate the candidate's needs, with a proposed arrangement of two days at Edinburg and three days at Wheelerville.
