DUTIES:Responsible for providing engaging and inquiry-based High School Mathematics instruction anchored by the NYS Mathematics Standards to students at the TST P-TECH Academy on the TC3 campus.Teacher will have freedom to prioritize content, design curricula and create an instructional space that meets the learning needs of our students. Teacher will collaborate with other teachers to develop PBL units of instruction. Develops supportive relationships with and among students, advances positive school culture and promotes attainment of academic goals. Must be a flexible, out of the box thinker who is able to work as a member of a small, supportive team of educators dedicated to alternative education and restorative practices. Experience teaching 9-12 subjects including Algebra through Calculus preferred but not required. Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess New York State Teacher Certification in Mathematics 7-12. Certifications in other content areas is a bonus. Must be a team player, have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Strong instructional and managerial computer skills are desired. START DATE: ASAPSALARY: $50,000 plus additional salary credit for graduate credits, Master’s Degree and prior teaching experience.
