TITLE: SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER (Springboard) Certified Position Full Time, 10-month position Affiliation: Teachers’ Association Exceptional Education Department Location: BOCES Smith School DUTIES: This school social worker position works collaboratively with various middle and high school teachers to support students in grades 7-12, with learning disabilities, in a 12:1:1 setting. Provide, as appropriate, individual and group counseling, conduct home visits, provide crisis management, participate in team meetings, provide training/support as needed, conduct social history interviews, assist with the creation and implementation of FBAs/BIPs, develop and implement IEP goals, participate in CSE meetings and work with students, families, and agencies in planning for student transition to college or the workforce. Perform other duties as required.Experience/interest with social emotional learning and trauma informed care prioritized. QUALIFICATIONS: New York State Certification as a School Social Worker is required. Additional Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred. Will also consider NY State License LMSW or LCSW with active application for school social worker. START DATE: September 1, 2022 SALARY: $50,000.00 (2022-2023 base salary), plus additional salary credit for appropriate prior experience, Masters Degree and Grad Credits.
