TITLE: SCHOOL COUNSELOR Certified Position Full-Time, 10-Month, Permanent Position Affiliation: Teacher’s Association Exceptional Education Department Location: Smith School / CampusDUTIES: This is a School Counselor position in a self-contained Exceptional Education program.Duties include, but are not limited to:Provide individual and group counseling to students with special needsScheduling courses/classes in school databaseFacilitate referrals to appropriate agencies for transition and other servicesAssist with new student intake processFulfill documentation related to IEP requirementsConsult with parents and school staffAll other related duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS: New York State Certification as a School Counselor is required. START DATE: October 3, 2022SALARY: $50,000.00 (2022-2023 base salary), plus additional salary credit for appropriate prior experience, Masters Degree and Grad Credits.
