Tiegerman School is looking for an experienced Daycare Teacher to join our staff! This is an inclusion classroom, this position would be the gen. ed. teacher for the classroom. Working with children ages 2.9 to 4 years of age. Hours for the position are 7:30AM-3:30PMMust hold valid NYS Certification: Early Childhood Education Birth-Grade 2Responsibilities:Supervise students in the classroom and all other areas of the school buildingOrganize curriculum and instruction around developmentally appropriate thematic unitsAdapt instruction and materials to meet the individual needs, strengths and interests of all studentsWrite and submit lesson plans, in accordance with established guidelines and schedulesManage student behavior in the classroom according to the established classroom management practicesMaintain the confidentiality of student records and information in accordance with FERPA and school policiesReport incidents (i.e., accidents, unsafe conditions, suspected abuse, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining the health and welfare of students and the safety of the school environment in accordance with the NYS Office of Children & Family Services regulations and school policiesComplete 30 training hours in accordance with the NYS Office of Children & Family Services.Obtain Medication Administration Training (MAT) and First Aid/CPR Certification. Must renew certifications prior to expiration date.In the event the Director is not in the building, the classroom teacher in the Acting Director.EEO & AA Employer
