Tiegerman School is a special education program servicing children with autism spectrum disorders from preschool through high school. At Tiegerman, our mission is to identify children with language and autism spectrum disorders early to provide educational programs which will prepare them for a world filled with words, sentences, stories and messages. Language is a symbol system; it provides the means to reach out to the world. Tiegerman is a 12 month program.Tiegerman School at Woodside (Queens) is looking for a dedicated and experienced Vocational Teacher to join our team!This teacher will be working with grades 7-12, teaching the following classes:Succeeding in the World of WorkEntering the World of WorkHome & CareersRetail ManagementTiegerman Schools have a partnership with Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger Outlet Stores and have on sight retail stores to teach our students the following retail skills: inventory management, floor set displays, cash register operations and more.Preferred valid NYSED certification include one of the following:Business and Distributive EducationBusiness and MarketingHome and CareersStudents with Disabilities Grades 7-12Students with Disabilities All GradesTiegerman is an AA and EEO employer.
