Red Door offers a supportive workplace where your contributions make a real impact.Job Summary:The Program Coordinator, Special Education, supports the administration, development, and coordination of our special education programs and services, ensuring that students receive high-quality, legally compliant services in early intervention and preschool settings. This role works closely with special education teachers, therapists, and support staff, in collaboration with general education teachers, administrators, the Red Door leadership team, and families to support student success. The Coordinator reports to the Director of Special Education and provides support in the overall program’s smooth operation.Key Responsibilities:Program Coordination & SupportCoordinate and assist in implementing early childhood special education programs, including early intervention and preschool special education, ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, ADA, and state-specific early childhood regulations.Support in monitoring instructional methods, programs, and materials, providing input and recommendations for improvements.Assist in the organization and facilitation of program initiatives and projects.IEP Management:Assist with the timely and accurate implementation and monitoring of IEPs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and families.Track IEP timelines, ensure required documentation is completed, and support case management as needed.Data & Program Monitoring· Collect, maintain, and organize student progress data to help inform instructional strategies and interventions.· Assist in preparing reports for compliance and internal review.Staff Collaboration & DevelopmentProvide day-to-day support to special education staff, including help with instructional strategies, classroom observations, and addressing instructional challenges.Coordinate professional development sessions and training opportunities.Support staffing logistics and scheduling to ensure services align with student needs.Collaboration Across TeamsPartner with general education staff to foster inclusive practices, accommodations, and modifications.Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and problem-solving discussions.Family Engagement:Family & Community EngagementBuild strong, supportive relationships with families to ensure clear communication and collaboration.Guide families on special education rights, processes, and available resources.Support resolution of parent concerns in collaboration with leadership.Compliance & Administrative SupportAssist in ensuring compliance with evaluation, eligibility, and service delivery timelines.Maintain organized program records and documentation for state and internal reporting.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field required, Master's degree preferred.Certification: New York State certification in Special Education (required).Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in special education, preferably in early childhood settings.Skills: Strong knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and state-specific special education laws and procedures; excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.Core Competencies:Collaboration in early childhood educational settingsKnowledge of early childhood special education practices and regulationsEffective communication with families and staffAbility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving program needsProblem-solving and conflict resolution skillsWork Environment:Collaborative and compliance-focused work environmentJob Type:· Full-timeSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Setting:· On-SitePay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offPaid Holidays401(k) including employer matchProfessional development opportunitiesEmployee discountsReferral ProgramAbility to Commute:535 S.
