We believe that fulfilling this mission will enable children to develop to their full potential.Speech & Language Pathologist- Red Door ILPRed Door Individualized Learning Program is seeking a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist to work with preschool-aged children whose IEP placement is in a Special Class in an Integrated Setting (SCIS). Candidates should have experience or desire to work in an interdisciplinary setting with related service staff. Empty headingPosition DescriptionWe are currently looking for a Part-Time Speech and Language Pathologist. This is an hourly contractor position in which the therapist is a member of the school wide team and is provided with support from colleagues and administrative professionals. The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct individual and group treatment for students with speech and language deficits based on IEP goals and objectives. The SLP is also responsible for conducting screenings and evaluations as directed by the Speech and Language Coordinator. The SLP collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to provide further understanding of the interventions and treatment of students with speech and language deficits. The SLP is responsible for daily progress notes and quarterly reports. The SLP helps children understand and use basic language concepts related to classroom learning and encourages literacy development. Essential Functions:Ensure a safe and healthy environment for all studentsProvide appropriate speech and language therapy services to assigned childrenDocument work and sessions as required to fulfill IEPParticipate in planning meetings in terms of children’s needs; communicate appropriately to families and other professional staff of assigned childrenThe Speech Teacher/Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) conducts 30 minute individual and group speech sessions per student IEP.The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) manages schedule to maximize IEP compliance (i.e., see all students on caseload per schedule).The SLP attends meetings with parents, classroom teachers, and school district representatives.The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) writes quarterly progress notes that report on progress toward IEP objectives.The Speech Language Pathologist writes progress notes for case reviews and special meetings.Measure learning continuously and graph data.Attend staff meetings.
