Location: Hicksville, NY Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $53,000 - $70,000 per year (Based on Experience)About Us:Red Door Learning Company is a New York State-certified preschool providing special education services under Section 4410 of the NYS Education Law. Our 9135 SEIT program delivers high-quality itinerant special education services to preschoolers in various settings, including homes, daycares, and general education preschools. We are seeking a SEIT Program Coordinator to oversee the SEIT program, ensure compliance with IEP mandates and NYSED regulations, and provide leadership to our team of SEIT teachers and related service providers.Key Responsibilities:Program Oversight & Compliance- Manage and oversee the SEIT program, ensuring all services meet NYSED and county guidelines.- Ensure SEIT staff follow IEP mandates, maintain proper documentation, and meet compliance requirements.- Serve as the primary liaison between SEIT staff, families, school districts, and related service providers.- Monitor program effectiveness and develop strategies for improvement.Staff Supervision & Development- Recruit, train, and supervise SEIT teachers and related service providers.- Conduct observations and performance evaluations to ensure quality service delivery.- Provide ongoing professional development and mentorship for SEIT staff.Case Management & Scheduling- Assign SEITs to students based on IEP needs, location, and availability.- Work with families and preschool programs to coordinate service schedules.- Address concerns from SEIT staff, parents, and school administrators regarding service delivery.Administrative & Reporting Duties- Oversee IEP documentation, ensuring timely updates and compliance with Medicaid billing requirements.- Maintain accurate records and reports for state audits and program evaluations.- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure correct reimbursement for SEIT services.qualifications & Requirements: NYS Certification in Special Education (Birth-Grade 2) or Students with Disabilities (B-2). Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience working in a SEIT program or special education leadership role. Strong understanding of IEPs, NYSED regulations, and Medicaid billing for special education services. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
