Duties: Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates operating a 6-week ESY Program for students with disabilities from July 1, 2024 through August 9, 2024 and anticipates the need for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to work 3 days per week.Duties of position, include, but are not limited to:The ability and willingness to train teachers, teacher assistants and teacher aides in appropriate presentation of instruction and progression of student behavior;The ability and willingness to model appropriate techniques that support positive classroom behavior;Provide support to clinicians as it pertains to FBA/BIP process;Provide regular meetings with staff members to review behavior tracking, data collections procedures, current data and instruction of skill acquisition;Coordinate with staff to develop a treatment plan, provide general support for families, conduct classroom observations and provide written and informal feedback;Respond to student crisis situations as needed;Work closely with administration and support staff to promote a successful and a safe learning environment.To begin July 1, 2024 (Only those who can work the full 6-week program and those who are available to attend the ESY Orientation on June 4, 2024 at 3:00 PM need apply).Qualifications: Must have BCBA certification and NYS Certification as a School Social Worker, School Psychologist, School Counselor, or Special Education Certification to be considered.Characteristics Desired: Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work in collaboration with their peers and in a team-based environment. Effective oral and written communication skills. A commitment to the PNW BOCES mission of service and innovation through partnership.
