Duties: The Coordinator of the Guidance and Child Study Center will lead a team of full-time BOCES employees and a cadre of specialized consultants needed to partner with regional school districts seeking support in areas such as:• Comprehensive and Psychological Evaluations• Neuropsychological Appraisals• Educational Evaluations• Social Histories• Speech-and-Language Evaluations• Multicultural Evaluations (Bilingual)• Audiological Consultations• Behavioral Consultations• Guidance, Special Education & PPS Program Reviews• Neurological Consultations• Psychiatric Consultations• Shared School Psychologists, School Counselors, School Social Workers• Test Kit RentalsAdditional services provided by the Guidance & Child Study Center include:• Facilitation of the ACTION Collaborative Network, including:• Equity Leaders Collaborative• Community & Connection Collaborative• LGBTQ+ Inclusive Schools Collaborative• MTSS Collaborative• Guidance & Counseling Directors Collaborative• School Clinicians Collaborative• ENL Leaders Collaborative• TVI Collaborative• CODA in Schools Collaborative• Suicide Prevention in Schools Regional Leadership TeamThe Coordinator will be responsible for providing exceptional educational leadership in the services identified above, as well as to work closely with districts to anticipate future service needs and to meet them in a cost-effective manner.Qualifications: New York State administrative certification required (SAS, SDA, SBL, SDL). Experience in Pupil Personnel Services and/or Special Education preferred.Characteristics Desired: Committed, passionate, self-starter that is dedicated and capable of creating regional and statewide partnerships and leading and encouraging a strong team work approach. A skilled leader with outstanding interpersonal, problem solving and decision making skills as well as excellent oral and written skills, strong organizational, and time management skills.
