Duties:Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES is seeking a full-time Special Education English Teacher. Candidate will be responsible for collaborating with fellow teachers, clinicians and administrators to develop and provide instruction in a secondary classroom for students with special needs enrolled in a Local School Building collaborative setting.Participate in Lead Teacher model. Write comprehensive and timely reports for IEPs. Communicate with parents and other stakeholders as needed. Must have the ability to function as a positive and contributing member of our BOCES team.Qualifications:Must have NYS dual certification in Special Education (Students with Disabilities 7-12) and English. Applicant should possess the following skills: knowledge of curriculum development, teaching methods, classroom management techniques and lesson plan development.Characteristics Desired:Positive, can-do attitude. Extensive knowledge of instructional approaches for school students with special needs enrolled in an alternative setting. Must be driven, organized and have the ability to positively manage students.Salary Range:$57,706-$96,859
