Duties:Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES is anticipating the need for a full-time Special Education Teacher for the 2023-2024 School Year to provide instruction to special education students. Duties will also include developing and implementing IEPs, monitoring and assessing student progress, differentiating instruction per student needs and working in a collaborative team setting. The successful candidate will also maintainregular contact with local school district representatives and parents, perform educational assessments as requested and utilize data to inform instructionQualifications:Appropriate New York State Education Department certification in Special Education K-12 or Students with Disabilities.Characteristics Desired:Positive, can-do attitude. Extensive knowledge of instructional approaches for school students with special needs enrolled in an alternative setting.
