Duties: Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates the need to teach a barbering course to high school juniors and seniors. Candidate must be able to work with advanced students as well as students with special needs. Candidate must be able to collaborate with other Tech Center teachers to develop integrated projects, new programs and/or initiatives.Salary range = $60,198.00 - $85,172.00 (to be pro-rated based on FTE)Qualifications: New York State Barbering 7-12 certificate.In addition, candidates must have documented barbering experience. Those with at least four (4) years of documented work experience in the field of cosmetology are strongly encouraged to apply.Characteristics Desired: Must have a positive, can-do attitude. Able to develop rigorous and relevant lessons in Cosmetology for a wide range of students with varying levels of cognitive abilities and collaborate with other Tech Center teachers. Prior teaching experience preferred.
