Bilingual School PsychologistsRequirements: NYS Certification - School Psychologist (bilingual extension)Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and SpanishExpertise in providing Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans or Board-Certified or Behavior Analyst preferred.Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:Conduct screenings of students.Conduct psychological evaluations.Conduct student observations.Deliver IEP/504 counseling services and consultations.Deliver crisis intervention.Apply proficiency with IEPDirect to manage CSE and 504 records.Participate in CPSE, CSE and 504 meetings.Develop, track, and analyze data for FBAs & BIPsSupport social–emotional learningConfer with teachers, students, parents and related service providers regarding behavioral data and adaptations to the classroom environment.Promote problem solving, anger management, and conflict resolution.Promote positive peer relationships and social problems via reinforcement of positive coping skills and resilience.Maintain accurate records, counseling logs and mandated related documents.Complete other School Psychologist’s related duties as assigned by the School Principal, Director of Special Education and/or their designee.Candidates must possess the ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, and other constituent groups.
