It is anticipated that the following district-wide position will be available for the 2023-2024 school year effective July 1, 2023:Position: Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and InstructionCertification Required: NYS SDL/SDAThe applicant shall have a record of successful leadership experience in the following areas: Instructional ProgramsData-informed leadership and increased student outcomes through data-driven teaching and leading.Development, revision, articulation, and evaluation of all instructional programs and to assist the Superintendent of Schools in achieving the instructional goals of the District in alignment with the NYS curriculum standardsOrientation and mentoring programs for new staff membersProfessional development for instructional staffFormal observation and evaluation reports and when appropriate, provide instructional suggestions for instructional improvement including principals, ENL/BIL staff, etc.Curriculum revision and developmentProgram budget for curriculumCollaboration with building administration and instructional staffReading intervention programsDistrict-wide RTI/MTSSENL/BIL programsKindergarten screening and Pre-K curriculum, standards, assessmentReview and approve requests by professional staff of graduate courses, in-service courses and conferencesOversee technology based content application program selection, monitoring and evaluationSummer school programs Grants ManagementPreparation, management and implementation of district grants including Title I, II, III and IVSolicit funding and formulate grants for district programs for the federal, state and local resources, as well as philanthropic organizations. AssessmentsDistrictwide state assessments and local assessment programsNYS ELA and Math for grades 3-5NYSESLATFormative Assessment Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.
