Elementary Technology Teacher Full-Time Position Available: 2026-2027 School Year (Effective September 1, 2026) Port Chester Public Schools is seeking a highly motivated and innovative educator, ideally with previous experience teaching technology at the elementary level, to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging lessons focused on technology literacy to a diverse student body, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and deliver a comprehensive curriculum focused on technology literacy to elementary-aged students. Develop and implement instructional materials and strategies that cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of students, including those with varying mental, physical, and emotional abilities. Provide individualized and group instruction to support students' academic, social, and emotional development and facilitate their successful integration into the school environment. Create and maintain a well-structured and supportive classroom environment that promotes active engagement, collaboration, and respect for all learners. Continuously assess and monitor students' academic and social progress, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records that inform instructional decision-making and individualized support. Design and implement instructional plans and activities that align with school, district, and state policies, goals, and objectives, ensuring that all students receive a high-quality education that meets their unique needs. Establish and maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians through various channels, fostering a strong partnership between home and school. Conduct regular parent-teacher conferences to discuss individual student progress, address concerns, and interpret school programs and policies. Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and other professionals to identify and address students' learning, social, emotional, and health needs, ensuring that each student receives comprehensive and coordinated support. Design a stimulating and engaging learning environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning through the effective use of displays, resources, and technology. Engage in ongoing professional development and learning opportunities to enhance teaching practices, stay abreast of current research and best practices, and continuously improve instructional effectiveness. Actively participate in the district's evaluation process, working collaboratively with administrators to set professional goals, receive feedback, and support continuous growth and development. Qualifications Required Current NYS certification in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6)
