This posting is for a districtwide Bilingual Social Worker (English/Spanish) holding a Valid New York State certification as s School Social Worker with a bilingual extension. Requirements: NYS Certification - New York State certification as s School Social Workerwith bilingual extension BCBA certification is highly preferred Extensive knowledge and experience of service approaches for students with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders, and multiple disabilities Strong written and verbal communication skillsResponsibilities include but not limited to the following:Conduct student’s observations in an academic setting.Apply proficiency with IEPDirect to manage CSE and 504 records.Conduct direct family outreach.Provide interventions and related supports that will assure positive academic and social outcomes for students.Participate at CSE and 504 meetings.Provide weekly and monthly data updates to the Supervisors and Director of special education.Confer with teachers, students, parents, and related service providers regarding data and social emotional.Knowledge of current trends in bilingual school social work service, research methods, testing and evaluation techniques.Maintain accurate records, and service logs.Complete other School Social Work related duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Special Education, the Director of Special Education and/or their designee.
