Pathfinder Village is seeking an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher. At Pathfinder School we strive to promote independence, inclusion, individuality, productivity, and self-determination for our students with special needs.Responsibilities:Direct instruction for all students at Pathfinder School in individual or group settingsAssess student abilities and performance using standardized tests, teacher created measures, and observation.Develop goals for and implement IEP objectivesDevelop appropriate APE activities for all levels of motor developmentComplete progress reports, report cards, IEPs, and special assignments as neededWork collaboratively with the Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Pathologist, Physical Therapist, and classroom special education teachersQualifications:Master's degree in physical educationProfessional certification in physical educationNYS driver's license
