GENERAL DESCRIPTION: CiTi BOCES is seeking a dedicated and passionate Art Teacher to join our team. As an art teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing quality education to students with disabilities, fostering their creativity, and helping them express themselves through art. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:• Art Instruction: Deliver engaging and inclusive art lessons to students in K through 12th grade. Utilize alternative learning techniques and a multidisciplinary approach to accommodate diverse learning needs.• Individualized Support: Tailor instruction to meet the unique abilities and challenges of students with disabilities. Adapt teaching methods, materials, and assessments as necessary.• Collaboration: Work closely with other educators, support staff, and parents to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.• Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress, track achievements, and provide feedback to promote growth.• IEP Implementation: Collaborate with student teams to ensure appropriate implementation of IEPs• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.• Professional Development: Stay informed about best practices, attend workshops, and engage in continuous learning.
