Your Mission, Part I: To deliver a comprehensive and structured college awareness and career readiness program that supports students in career and college planning. To support, promote and implement equity in achieving college access for all students while promoting the mission and vision of creating the nursing workforce of the future through college access support. Your Mission, Part II: To deliver a comprehensive and high-quality educational experience that supports students in the development of college and career readiness skills essential to becoming the future nursing workforce. To support, promote, and implement accessible instruction for all students to increase equitable outcomes while promoting the mission and vision of creating a highly educated and professional nursing workforce. RESPONSIBILITIES:Serves as a member of the School Leadership Team.Manages the Instructional Leadership Team, College and Career Readiness Guidance Counselors, Instructional Coaches, School Improvement Team, and Academic Support Team/Faculty.Collaborates with the Student Support Team.Establishes and maintains a culture of learning for all students and staff. Communicates, supports and expects a growth mindset for all. Communicates verbally and in writing with the School Leadership Team around instruction and strengths and challenges related to the Academic Support Team/Faculty. Collects, monitors, formulates, disaggregates, and shares all academic data related to formative and accountability metrics, and school improvement goals as appropriate. Collaborates with intervention teams to review data and to provide appropriate interventions and services to every student and subgroup. Provides leadership in the ongoing development, improvement, and evaluation of curriculum, instruction, and student data management aligned with the mission of the school.Leads and develops a professional learning community with Teachers, Support Staff, and others as appropriate, in addressing the needs of students, developing effective teaching and learning practices, and developing and implementing best practices aligned with the mission and the vision of the school. In collaboration with the Principal, and aligned with the mission and vision of the school, develops an annual plan for staff development and learning aligned with the mission and vision of the school and the goals and initiatives outlined in the school improvement plan. Develops and facilitates professional learning opportunities for administrators, teachers, and support staff in the curriculum, instruction, and assessment strategies that promote achievement for all students. Schedules, leads, and actively participates as an advisor, resource specialist, and facilitator in faculty, grade level, department, and/or professional learning community meetings. Actively works to promote a growth mindset and build the capacity of individuals and teams. Supports Instructional Coaches as they assist Teachers in using research-based instructional and learning strategies and content-specific, differentiated instruction to assist Teachers in planning, delivering, and assessing lessons and individual student success. Schedules and meets regularly with the instructional staff to maintain communication, provide support/consultation, and ensure instructional best practices for all students’ academic success. Partners with the Principal and Director of Culture and Community to support teachers in developing student-centered classroom structures that ensure a focus on learning and student success. Collaborates with the Principal, Director of School Culture and Community, and the Director of Nursing on the development and implementation of student academic supports and interventions through the grade-level teams and the RTI process. Documents evaluations of assigned caseload for teacher evaluations of the instructional team and provides on-going feedback for improvement and professional growth. Proactively creates and establishes programs, philosophies, and policies related to curriculum and instruction to staff members, students, and the community. Coordinates, supervises, and evaluates the selection and use of textbooks and other instructional materials. Coordinates district assessments and the use of data for instructional and systems improvement efforts. Facilitates administrative and staff data analysis using formative and summative assessment data. Creates intervention plans and consistently monitors for effectiveness and academic improvements.Required attendance at various events is the expectation for employees. Attendance and meaningful participation in each planning day, professional development day, parent teacher conferences, at least one (1) new student open house, and all Senior events including, but not limited to Awards Night, Prom and Graduation are required. Dates and times will be determined, and employees will be notified as such. Perform such other duties and assume other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Principal or Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and/or necessary to perform the functions of the position.QUALIFICATIONS: Motivated, enthusiastic, mission-driven individual interested in being a key member of a school leadership team aimed at supporting students to succeed beyond measure and soar into the nursing profession with confidence and ease!State certification as a Building Level Administrator. Master’s degree required. Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience. Experience in working in urban communities with multicultural families. Experience with PowerSchool, Naviance, or other student management systems (SMS). Extensive knowledge of State Standards with documented professional development. Understanding of current state and federal laws regarding education regulations and accountability systems. Meticulous attention to detail and a data-driven mindset.
