Full time positions, 10 months - with benefits.The Paraeducator plays a vital role in supporting the educational development of students, particularly those with special needs. This position involves working closely with teachers and other educational staff to create an inclusive, supportive, and effective learning environment. Paraeducators assist in the implementation of instructional programs, behavioral supports, and accommodations to ensure that all students can access and participate fully in their educational experience.Essential Responsibilities:Works with individual students or small groups in a variety of educational settings (classroom, resource room, community-based learning, etc.).Carries out instructional activities as designed by a certified staff member.Maintains and records data on student progress as assigned.May be asked to collect and report observational or progress-monitoring data to inform instructional and behavioral decision-making.Assists students in following classroom and school rules, routines, and behavioral expectations.Supports implementation of accommodations and modifications as described in students’ IEPs and 504 Plans.Assists the teacher in the development and implementation of instructional and behavioral strategies for the classroomSupervises testing, makeup work, or independent study as assigned by the teacher.Scores tests and corrects papers using established answer keys.Prepares instructional materials and supports the organization of classroom supplies.Helps ensure students’ personal safety and well-being at all times.Benefits:Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceHealth savings accountPaid time offRetirement planVision insurance Qualifications: Completion of two years of study at an institution of higher education (college/university); orAn Associate’s degree (or higher); orA minimum score of 457 on the ETS ParaPro Assessment (for roles covered by Title I federal requirements) showing competence in reading, writing, mathematics. Background check & fingerprinting are required.Must work under the direct supervision of a certified/licensed professional when delivering instructional support.
