Learn more about us here https://www.newfairfieldschools.org New Fairfield Public Schools is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and dynamic Orchestra Teacher to join our exceptional music department and play a key role in fostering an exemplary orchestra program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music education, an ability to inspire students and a deep commitment to developing a rich musical environment. The Orchestra Teacher will be responsible for leading, developing, and nurturing orchestra ensembles. Knowledge of diverse orchestral repertoires across various genres and historical periods.Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families.Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and families to support the growth of the music program.Capacity to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students at various skill levels.Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.Ability to incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods into music instruction.A passion for fostering an inclusive, engaging, and creative learning environment that promotes student achievement in the arts. QUALIFICATIONS: 049 Music CT CertificationBachelor’s degree in music education, Instrumental Music, or a related field (Master’s preferred).Demonstrated proficiency in at least one orchestral instrument (preferably violin, viola, cello, or bass), with the ability to model proper technique and performance for students.Strong experience in conducting orchestral ensembles, including advanced string, woodwind, brass, and percussion students.Experience in both group and individual instruction for students with varying levels of musical ability.Track record of preparing students for local, regional, and state performances or competitions is a plus.Or NY Certification – CT offers a smooth certification reciprocity process.We encourage candidates to apply via OLAS.
