Minerva Central School is seeking a dedicated, student-centered School Counselor to join our school community. This role is essential in supporting students’ academic success, social-emotional development, and post-secondary planning, including college, career, military, and Vo-Tech pathways. Position Overview Provide academic, social, and emotional guidance to students Support college, career, military, and Vo-Tech readiness Assist students with career exploration and vocational planning Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies Help foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment Develops and manages students to ensure alignment with graduation requirements, instructional priorities and individual student needs. Duties May Include Test Coordinator Create Master Schedule (Elementary/Secondary) Transition Planning McKinney Vento Liason School Wide PBIS Coordinator Character Education MTSS Team Member What We’re Looking For Strong communication and organizational skills A compassionate, student-focused approach Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team Appropriate NYS certification (or eligibility) Applicants must upload all relevant materials, including: cover letter, resume, college transcripts, teaching certificates, and letters of recommendations, to your OLAS account.
