The Minerva Central School District has an opening for a Library Media Specialist PK-12 (full-time regular probationary track). Qualifications include:Must be Library Media Specialist Certified or Literacy Certified willing to work on obtaining LMS certification.Excellent communications skills - proven ability to communicate effectively with staff, families and community membersMaintain a collection that is diverse in format and content to support the learning needs of all studentsRecommend, create, implement and evaluate resources and activities in various formats to meet students' learning needsWork collaboratively and individually to design, develop and implement programs that encourage reading for enjoyment and for informationGuide and assist students and staff in the use of new media and technologiesModel and promote effective uses of technology for learning and teachingCreate and maintain an inviting, attractive physical environment within the library media centerParticipate regularly in activities within the district and community to gain support and feedback for the program and to be aware of efforts and issues beyond the buildingApplicants must upload all relevant materials, including: cover letter, resume, college transcripts, teaching certificates, and letters of recommendations, to your OLAS account.
