Malverne School District anticipates a full-time, elementary teacher for the position of STEM for the 2026-2027 school year. REQUIREMENTS: Valid NYS Teacher certification in Elementary Education STEM experience preferred Full NYS fingerprint clearance ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Demonstrate strong knowledge of the New York State Science Learning Standards (NYSSLS) and effectively implement instruction that integrates disciplinary core ideas, science and engineering practices, and crosscutting concepts. Demonstrate knowledge of the New York State Computer Science and Digital Fluency (CS/DF) Standards. Design and implement engaging, hands-on STEM learning experiences aligned to the NYSSLS that promote inquiry, problem solving, engineering design, and real-world applications of science. Develop and deliver computer-based learning experiences aligned to the NYS CS/DF standards using the district’s 1:1 student iPads, ensuring students build digital fluency and computational thinking skills. Facilitate engineering design challenges, coding experiences, and technology integration activities that support the development of foundational STEM and computer science skills. Support and participate in district STEM events, showcases, and enrichment opportunities that highlight student innovation and achievement. Collaborate closely with the Supervisor of STEM, K–12 to ensure curriculum alignment with the NYSSLS and NYS CS/DF standards and support district STEM initiatives.
