The Malverne UFSD is seeking a Baseball JV Head Coach:Requirements: Non-Teacher: First Aid, CPR, AED, Coaching Courses, School Violence, Child Abuse, DASA, Concussion Management, Fingerprinting, must apply for a license Teacher: Concussion Management, First Aid, CPR, AED, DASA, Coaching Courses. Teacher coaches include any school personnel with NYS teacher certification in a subject area; as well as PPS staff including School Psychologist, Social Worker AND Guidance Counselor. Performance Expectations:Knowledge of the sport to determine the type of exercises, drills and techniques to teach and practice.Work cooperatively and communicate with coaches from all levels to develop and maintain a cohesive program.Enforce academic eligibility policyOrganize, instruct, train and lead players.Schedule regular practices and is responsible for equipment and supplies.Focus on healthy competition while motivating athletes to play and practice hard. Manage the team during games and makes decisions to optimize the team's chance of winning.
