Malverne School District is seeking recent graduate candidates who hold NYS certification in Spanish Language and FLES or are in the process of getting one for a position starting September 2025. REQUIREMENTS: Have a valid NYS Teacher certification in SpanishTwo-year minimum experience teaching SpanishFLES certifiedORHave a valid NYS Teacher certification in childhood education 1-6 and B-2Native Spanish Speaker or Two-year minimum experience teaching Spanish ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Provide rigorous lessons aligned with the National World-Readiness for Learning LanguagesTeach students through an inquiry-based curriculum, and place the thinking work on all studentsCollaborate with the Instructional Leadership to design and implement a rich and rigorous Spanish FLES curriculum and assessments aligned to state standardsDemonstrate experience integrating technology resources into teaching and learningInvestigate innovative technologies and applications for implementing in the classroomMaintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and developmentBe an active participant in honorary memberships/organizations, department, school, district meetings and professional development activitiesFoster and maintain effective communication with parents and/or guardiansEstablish a positive classroom environment through proactive methods, a clear management system, and strong student rapportDemonstrate a relentless commitment to ensuring all students succeed at the highest levelsPerform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor, Principal or other appropriate administrator
