POSITION: Teacher Aide – Special Education LOCATION: Hommocks Middle School HOURS: Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week SUPERVISOR: Building Assistant Principal DATE POSITION IS AVAILABLE: Immediately RESPONSIBILITIES: Support of students with accommodations per their IEPCollaboration with special education teacher and other staff members on behalf of the student’s successMonitor the health and well-being of studentsEffectively communicate with classroom teacher and administrationWillingness to obtain and employ Crisis Prevention and Intervention TrainingData collection and implementation of behavior plansAssist daily transitions which included lunch and recessOther duties as assigned PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:A professional, patient, and calm demeanor with children of all agesExperience with children who have attentional, behavioral/emotional, and academic challenges COMPENSATION: In accordance with the Agreement between the Board of Education and the Mamaroneck Teacher Aides Unit.SALARY RANGE: $26,203-$30,701BENEFITS: Medical Benefits offered upon hire.
