Position: Digital Media Technology TeacherReports to: Supervisor of Educational EnrichmentFLSA Status: ExemptPosition Type: Full-time. 10-month position – Benefit EligibleDate Revised: May 2023Salary Range: $46,807 - $102,700 Summary: The Digital Media Technology Teacher will use various technology platforms to promote advancement in the field of arts and cultural communications. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESTeach students in all departments: Preschool, Elementary, Middle School, & High SchoolDevelop a rigorous, objective, and standards-driven arts enrichment curriculum inclusive of, but not limited to, arts, theatrical arts, audio/video technology, and communicationsExcellent classroom management skills and provide positive behavior intervention with supportAbility to use technology: Google Drive, PowerSchool, and SchoologyCollaborate with others in the visual arts department, Drama Club, Dance Teacher, etcAttend training to keep current with technology and TV Studio equipmentPerform other duties as assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMaster’s degree in special education, Deaf Education, or related fieldExperience providing instruction to students who are deaf and hard of hearingAmerican Sign Language (ASL) proficiency SECURITY CLEARANCERequired clearance include: Medical clearance, fingerprinted by the NYC Board of Ed and SCR and SEL clearance.
