The Highland Falls - Fort Montgomery Central School District is seeking candidates for a probationary Assistant Principal for the 2022-2023 school year. The school district is looking for an inspiring instructional leader that can uphold our district's core values of Readiness, Inclusion, Social Justice and Empathy.Successful candidates should have/be:A dynamic, high energy leadership style with a successful background in elementary and/or middle school educationAn understanding of the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards and demonstrated ability to effectively evaluate for the improvement of instruction. Comprehensive knowledge of best practices in elementary and/or middle school education including differentiation, Response to Intervention and Professional Learning Communities Strong knowledge of Code of Conduct and ability to manage student behavior including at-risk students Experience with student discipline and DASAExperience supervising academic and extracurricular activities Experience with scheduling and managing student information Habits of administration capable of encouraging professional cooperation and enthusiasm to meet current demands for excellence in public education Proven record of effectively involving parents and community members; a desire to challenge the minds and celebrate the creativity of 8-14 year-olds.Knowledge of Restorative Practices.Experience running school building committees (etc. attendance, discipline, data)Experience with instructional coaching and classroom observations.NYS fingerprint clearance is required.Please submit a cover letter and resume for consideration.
