The Fort Montgomery Elementary School is seeking a Long Term Substitute Elementary Teacher to begin on or about May 15, 2026 in a Kindergarten classroom. The successful candidate will create a positive and engaging learning environment while implementing instructional plans that support students' academic and social-emotional development. Successful candidates should have/be: NYS Early Childhood Education (B-2); Comprehensive knowledge of NYS Next Generation Learning Standards and mandates; An individual who can uphold our district's core mission and values; A strong understanding of pedagogical practices that promote a student-centered learning environment; Experience working with kindergarten or early elementary students; Knowledge of early literacy, foundational math skills, and developmentally appropriate practices Ability to implement lesson plans, manage a classroom, and maintain a positive learning environment; Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families; Familiarity with basic classroom technology and digital learning platforms; NYSED fingerprint clearance.
