Purpose/RationaleThe HFFMCSD has recently undertaken efforts to upgrade various district facility systems to ensure the instructional needs of students and the operational needs of faculty and staff are supported in the long term. A key part of this is the upgrading and maintenance of the information technology infrastructure. The Information Technology Infrastructure Technician will support the district’s ongoing infrastructure plans through the installation of cabling and associated infrastructure components for district computer networks; including voice, video, data and security systems. Description of the Position The Information Technology Infrastructure Technician for HFFMCSD will report directly to the Assistant Director of Technology. The IT Technician will complete installation, cabling, testing, certification, and labeling of data cable at district facilities, using district purchased supplies & materials. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Cable Runs: Install structured cabling for the following systems:PhoneSecurity camerasIP speakersWireless access pointsDoor access systemsClassroom data cable/internet access needsMounting systems including low-voltage classroom raceway & overhead cable supportsCable Terminations to appropriate devices and patch panels; terminated to RJ-45 keystone jacksMounting of Wireless Access Points NYSED fingerprint clearance is required.Please submit a cover letter and resume for consideration.
