Senior Account Clerk - Accounting DepartmentThe Half Hollow Hills School District is seeking a competent individual to fill an immediate full time vacancy in the Business Office. The available position is for a Senior Account Clerk. The successful candidate must be familiar with typical business office functions, must have hands-on experience in accounts payable, and be experienced in Excel and Word. The position comes with a salary of $50,488 (effective July 1, 2025) as well as a generous benefits package as follows:Additional $2,000 stipend for having earned a Bachelor's degree or a $1,000 stipend for having earned an Associate's degree (added to base salary)NYS PensionOff during recess periods (February break, April break and December/January break) in addition to other "duty free" days throughout the yearAbbreviated work hours during the summer10 vacation days after first year of service, 6 sick days, 3 personal daysability to carry-forward unused paid time off from one year to the next85% of healthcare cost paid by employerhealthcare waiver paymentyearly optical reimbursementdistrict-paid life insuranceAs there are currently no candidates from the Civil Service list, this is a provisional position which means when Suffolk County Civil Service offers the Senior Account Clerk exam, the employee must take the examination, pass it and be reachable for appointment from the resultant eligible list in order to be retained.
